Limecroft Cottage in Malham is highly praised for its excellent location, offering easy access to beautiful walks and the village amenities. Guests consistently mention the cottage’s comfort, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped interiors, with many appreciating the peaceful setting and lovely views. While most found the property clean and inviting, a few noted occasional lapses in cleanliness and minor maintenance issues. Thoughtful touches such as welcome refreshments were appreciated by some guests, though not always provided. Overall, the cottage is a popular choice for those seeking a relaxing base to explore the Yorkshire Dales.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with several describing it as spotless. However, a few reviews mentioned issues such as musty bedding, dirty windows, cobwebs, and an unclean oven, which slightly lowered the overall impression.
The location is universally praised, with guests loving the proximity to Malham village, local pubs, and walking trails. The peaceful setting and beautiful views are frequently highlighted as standout features.
Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, a cosy atmosphere, and good showers. Some noted minor issues such as initial coldness in the living area and noise from the heating system, but these did not significantly detract from overall comfort.
The cottage is generally well-equipped, with modern bathrooms and a good kitchen. Some guests noted missing or mismatched crockery, lack of firewood, and minor maintenance issues such as loose flooring and broken switches, but these were outweighed by positive feedback.
Several guests appreciated welcome touches like tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate, though these are not guaranteed. Some felt a welcome pack or firewood would have enhanced their stay, and a few noted a lack of instructions for appliances.

A lovely dry, hot week. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. We appreciated the milk and biscuits left for us. The area is full of great walks from the doorstep. We visited the Listers most nights and returned to sit out on the upper seating ( which was rather unloved so we cleaned up the area.) The result was a perfect spot. We are in our mid 70's and to be honest this is a place for the younger and fitter but otherwise an excellent place and area.
