Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This luxury cottage is situated on the award-winning Bay Holiday Village just 3 miles from Filey. The standard of the cottage is exceptional and the owner provides lots of extras from coffee pods to a very generous welcome basket with cake, drinks and lots of extra treats. The owner has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible with lots of extras and attention to detail. The cottage has two very comfortable bedrooms, both with en-suite shower or bathrooms with rainfall showers and there is a selection of The White Company toiletries provided. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds and curtains, the master bedroom has a super kingsize memory foam bed with the second bedroom having twin beds also with memory foam mattresses. The cottage is deceptively spacious and has French doors leading out onto a grassed area with private seating and a barbecue. Downstairs, the cottage is open plan with a cosy wood burner to keep you warm in the winter months. The cottage will also be decorated for those looking to stay over the festive season.
The holiday village has an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, café and a pub that also serves food. There’s a basketball court and an archery area. The site holds lots of activities for the children from face painting to table tennis, dedicated play park area, football pitch and even Body Zorbs. From the cottage it’s a leisurely 10 minute walk down to the beach and what a beach! Miles of golden sand and so much space for the children to play on. When the tide is out you can walk all the way to Filey or the opposite way towards Reighton Gap. Filey is a very traditional Victorian seaside town with shops, bars and restaurants as well as the local train station. The cottage is a great base to visit the cities of Hull and York as well as the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Wolds.
The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away. The rspb bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is a 15-minute drive away, where you will see puffins perched on the chalk cliffs. It is one of the most visited rspb sites and people travel from all over the world to see this fantastic array of migrating seabirds. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on-site.

Lovely house, has everything you could need. Great for visiting York and some fun down on the beach. Description of the facilities in the holiday park on the Hoseasons website needs updating as the putting green was not available (long grass), no table tennis, and the football field seemed to be missing.

Superb location and with amenities there on site which is a bonus. Gym and Swimming which are included with the leisure pass provided by Matt and Jacqui. There is a pharmacy and shop and also a public house. The hosts were excellent and communication was effective and efficient. The property was clean and had a coffee and tea tray ready for asit down after the journey up. Everything we needed in The Bolt Hole was there and it was well stocked with cooking utensils and crockery for our needed. The rooms were modern and the bonus of ensuites for both rooms was welcomed. Outside had a BBQ if and when needed unfortunately under the UK government restrictions we could not use this under the UK Government severe warning alert. There is a garden dining set at the back of the garden if you wanted to sit outside.Parking was ample and the property had space for two cars if needed. Humanby is the nearest beach and can be access through the site. A circa 10-15 minutes walk through the site. It is possible to walk to Filey on the beach.The location is just outside Filey town and there is easy access everywhere we wanted to go to Bempton cliffs, Bridlington, Flamborough Head. Longer trips to Robin hoods bay/Bogle hole is circa 1 hour away and further up Whitby and Saltburn. We did the park and ride for Whitby and managed to get free parking at Saltburn in one of the side streets. A great stay in a good location and certainly will be visiting again.

The place is well loved, with everything you can need. The owners clearly care about the place and made it a home from home. Beautifully decorated and the kitchen has plenty of good quality equipment to cook with. We did days at the beach- and even managed waves and body boarding, went and saw Puffins and other sea birds, some trips into York, Flamingo Land and many other places around. Thankyou so much!
