The heart of the home lies in the well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare and enjoy delicious meals together and toast to a magical holiday around the dining table. On those chillier nights, warmth and focus is available in front of the stylish gas-fired stove.

Ascend the staircase to the upper floors, where you will find two large plush bedrooms providing flexibility for different guest configurations. The first floor bedroom provides, at your request, either a zip-linked super-king size bed or two single beds. The second floor bedroom offers a luxurious secluded retreat with king-size bed and 4 skylight Velux windows to see the stars. Each bedroom has its own separate bright and airy walk-in hand and rainfall shower, basin, and WC. Indulge in a warm soak in the free-standing bath in the unusually spacious main bathroom.

For added convenience there is a utility room with a basin and WC inside the back door and coat and boot racks. There is a study nook in the kitchen for those who need to catch up on work or just want to take advantage of the super-fast wi-fi (available throughout the house). A bistro table and two chairs are provided, where you can sit out in the tranquil surroundings and enjoy a cup or glass of something al fresco while breathing in the fresh Yorkshire air. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area with the stunning Linton Falls (largest falls on the River Wharfe) just a stone's throw away from the cottage. Riverdale House is situated on a small no through road. A short 5 minute walk from the front door will take you to the 12th century St Michael’s & All Angels church on the edge of the River Wharfe right by the much-photographed ancient course of stepping stones. If cooking is not on the agenda, dine at The Fountaine Inn in Linton, “our local”, or a very short walk across The Falls brings you to Grassington village where an unusually large selection and choice of places to eat and drink is available: The Devonshire Arms, Grassington House and Black Horse Hotel are just a few examples of lovely places to get a taste of local cuisine.Under 10 minutes drive away is the Michelin-stared Angel at Hetton for those seeking to celebrate or simply experience extra fine dining nearby. Riverdale House, near the River Wharfe on the Dales Way, is in a row of former mill cottages built in the late Victorian era.The house was extensively remodelled in 2020 and completely refurnished in 2024.

Linton is one of the most outstanding villages in the upper Wharfedale community. The ancient Linton Beck flows through the village crossed by packhorse bridges, stepping-stones and fords. The stone houses clustered around the central green date from the 17th and 18th Century, and at the head of this village stands an architectural masterpiece, the Fountaine Hospital, founded in 1721. The village is served by the Fountaine Inn, with a wide reputation for outstanding beers and food, and its welcoming atmosphere. Close to Linton Falls on the River Wharfe, this is a superb walking area, with many paths to other villages, and easy access to the limestone fells. Down dale is the haunting Abbey ruins and Priory at Bolton Abbey, or the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden, with spectacular limestone scenery. Linton is a great base for exploring the local area with the market town of Skipton and its medieval castle a short drive away, and many other historic places including Bronte Country, Castle Howard, the elegant spa town of Harrogate, racing at Ripon and the majestic medieval city of York within easy motoring distance.
