It is a really lovely cosy cottage in the most beautiful countryside! It’s small, but was just fine for 2 of us and our dog.

We spent a lovely 4 nights at Stables End. The cottage is comfortable and suitable for a base for hiking or just a quiet get away. The owner and staff at the trekking centre were helpful and welcoming. The cottage is warm, clean and the beds are comfortable. A gorgeous bathroom with deep bath. The water is extremely hot very quickly, so beware when washing hands. The up side is that you don't need a lot of hot water for a relaxing bath. Lovely walks from right outside the door in all weathers, weather you are after easy walks or something a bit more challenging, you'll find them here and in the surrounding areas. The only very small niggle we had with the cottage, was that the log burner was just ornamental with lights in it, no heat. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back.
