Lovely comfortable cottage, bed exceptionally comfy. Looking a bit dated. Views and location fabulous. Good location for York Moors and Dales. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn’t brilliant but we enjoyed our time out and about. Would definitely recommend.

Cottage is part of a barn conversion in lovely countryside.Peaceful with lots of wildlife in the surroundings. Property was clean and well presented. Within a few minutes of Thirsk, but away from traffic, so very quiet. We found lots to do in the area without having to travel too far.Hostess was very helpful as well. On hand to answer any questions we had.Overall, a great find

Given the height of the ceilings the heating is brilliant. However, it is many years since this property was refurbished and is now looking tired and dated. The first thing we saw when we opened the door was one of the kickboards below the dishwasher was hanging loose and on opening cupboards they both crashed to the floor, no clips to hold them up. The shower tray started to leak on the floor at the end of our stay. The surrounding scenery is lovely but the narrow road towards the property is full of potholes. There is a lovely box of shortbread along with satchets of tea and coffee but unfortunately no milk!
