It is compact, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed, the lounge is very comfortable, and the bedrooms are spaciously adequate and very comfortable. The ability to park outside is a bonus - no parking in the marketplace, which is a mere five minute walk away. Throughout, there is the "theme" of Swaledale sheep, very topical for the area. We were very surprised, and grateful for a "goodie" bag of gifts - thank you very much (not sure if this is customary - we were there over New Year). Thirsk is a bustling town with many shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from and not to mention the beautiful scenery at close hand. We had a very enjoyable New Year at Black Sheep Cottage

You're right in the centre of Thirsk to visit the local shops and cafes. Plus there's lots of places to visit in the surrounding area. The little extra touches were appreciated too, thank you. I'd definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return next year
