Guests say

Hurworth Cottage near Thirsk is highly praised for its peaceful countryside setting, spacious and clean interiors, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the well-equipped accommodation, comfortable beds, and beautiful views. The property is ideal for a relaxing break and serves as a great base for exploring the local area. While some mention the décor could benefit from a refresh and note the remote location requires a car, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with thoughtful touches and excellent value for money.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean, spotless, and well-maintained, with only rare minor comments about décor looking tired but not affecting cleanliness.

The rural, peaceful location is widely appreciated for its tranquillity and scenic views, though several guests note the need for a car due to its remoteness and distance from shops.

Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. A few minor points are raised about pillows and the need for modernisation, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The cottage is described as well-equipped with modern bathrooms, good kitchen amenities, and extras like a tennis court. Some mention the décor and furniture could use updating, but facilities are generally praised.

Several guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome trays with tea, coffee, and biscuits, and friendly, responsive hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had the most amazing stay. The cottage was beautiful, absolutely spotless, amazing views, the hosts Sarah and James were so welcoming and very helpful. It was extremely comfortable, the beds were so comfortable andmy daughter loved playing football in the tennis court, thankfully we had great weather too. It was lovely having all the homely touches in the cottage aswell and the welcome biscuits, coffee and tea, it was greatly appreciated. We honestly couldn't fault anything about our stay. We will definitely be back :).
