About this property

Pateley Bridge 1 mile. This Grade II listed, tasteful cottage sits all on the ground floor and forms part of a wonderful stone barn conversion, one mile from the North Yorkshire village of Pateley Bridge. Offering accommodation on one level, this cottage retains many original features including attractively painted beams running throughout the property. Enjoy a spacious open-plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and a cosy sitting area so put your feet up at the end of another long day. The room is thoughtfully decorated, dotted with many homely features to make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive until you leave. Both bedrooms are fabulously decorated, a twin is perfect for the children whilst the master king-size bedroom benefits from a lovely en-suite. Sit out on the patio to the front of the property, here you can have your morning coffee or an evening tipple. Walks abound from the doorstep onto the Nidderdale Way and fishing rights on the nearby river further enhance this cottage. The amenities of Pateley Bridge are close at hand, including excellent old pubs and local eateries as well as the River Nidd, which winds its course through the village. The likes of Harrogate, with its fabulous shopping centre, and the market towns of Ripon, Richmond, Leyburn and Hawes are within easy reach. An excellent Nidderdale cottage base for family and friends to get together and enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Nestled in the steep-sided valley of the River Nidd is the charming Dales town of Pateley Bridge. This lovely little town is full of quaint little alleys and a variety of yards which house many interesting shops offering a wide range of unusual gifts and mementos. Well known for its prize-winning floral displays, this pretty little town also has a leisure centre which offers outstanding sports facilities, whilst the riverside park with children's play area is also worth a visit for anyone travelling with a young family. As well as the award-winning Nidderdale Museum – a lively collection of displays illustrating all aspects of life in the Dales – the town also hosts a number of Craft Workshops as well as excellent opportunities for walking and bird watching both up and downstream in the Nidd Valley.
