Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at the property.
Please do not vape or smoke anything inside the lodge, light any candles or use anything with an open flame, with the sole exception when lighting the log burning stove. There is a £50 cleaning charge for non-compliance.
Towels are included.
Please note there is a planned power cut on Wednesday the 2nd of July 2025 between the hours of 9am and 16:30pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please note the electricity will be switched off on Tuesday the 2nd of December 2025 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Northern PowerGrid are replacing the transformer that supplies power within the area

Stayed Monday to Friday for our 20th anniversary. Lol very nice and comfortable. Hot tub very good and the sauna an added bonus.Our host Antony was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to sit out on the veranda eith our breakfast and watch the various birds, nuthatch, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, robins black birds, sparrow and great spotted woodpecker feeding. If we didn't have other things to do we could have stayed there all day. It was just what we wanted a quite peaceful stay. The lodge is at the top of a short but steep hill, it was like being on a rollercoaster 😆 but we got used to it. The amenities in the lodge were very good, comfortable mattress and pillows, bedroom pitch black if you like no light when sleeping. Only drawback for me personally was the pot cupboards cups, plates ect in top corner cupboard far to high up for me hubby had to get them out for me. Maybe move to a lower cupboard. We didn't use oven or dishwasher so can't review. Hot tub was lovely nice temperature good jets, and the sauna was very nice. The sauna is in like a store room very good to put cases, by the way behind the door is a full length mirror which I found on the last night. May be worth mentioning it in the hand book.All in all we loved our stay.
