Step into the cottage and immediately discover the open plan living area boasting characterful wooden beams and plenty of dining furniture. It is a tastefully decorated room with everything that you could wish to have during your stay including comfortable sofas, a Freeview TV, woodburning stove and an immaculate, well-equipped kitchen. The first floor of Swan Cottage offers three delightful bedrooms with charming wallpaper and bed linen along with wall-mounted TVs and fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
If you're not at the pub next door, sit out on your well-kept patio and enjoy a refreshing drink of your own. The small village of Fearby offers a lovely local pub and breathtaking panoramic views everywhere you go. The nearest town is Masham, boasting a great range of shops, pubs and restaurants for you to enjoy. The beautiful towns of Ripon and Thirsk are also within easy reach, offering beautiful buildings and incredible formal gardens. Swan Cottage is a brilliant cottage in a beautiful remote location.
This village is situated two miles from Masham in Yorkshire's beautiful scenery. It is set round a village green, offering a pub serving fine ales and food. Fearby is ideally situated for exploring Yorkshire's countryside, with the Yorkshire Dales to the west and the North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast to the east. In and around the village are walks along footpaths and bridleways. Nearby, Masham is in the lower reaches of pretty Wensleydale, alongside the River Ure. Set in farmland, the town boasts a market square where a Wednesday market has recently been joined by a Saturday market. There are walks around the area, including arguably one of the best walks in the UK along the River Ure. The town boasts crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become known as the home of two breweries; Theakstons of Old Peculiar fame, and the Black Sheep Brewery! Ripon and Harrogate are an easy drive away. With so much to see and do in the area, this is a great place for a holiday in all seasons.

The place is modern, exceptionally clean and comfortable with excellent facilities including provisions of tea/coffee and wood for the wood burner. The Black Swan pub next door is also very convenient with great food and ales. You would have to drive or walk into Masham for more entertainment or shops/bars but is only a couple of miles away. I would definitely recommend the Swan cottage.
