Myton House was the perfect size for eight adults and one 3yr old. It is very homely & comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen and 4 large bedrooms. The large living/dining room seats everyone comfortably and the jigsaws, books and a couple of children’s toys were a really nice touch. We were lucky to have sunshine so spent most of our time on the terrace when we weren’t out and about. The garden area is huge which is great if you have children with you. The view is beautiful and it was lovely to have a horse (Prince) in the adjacent field. We saw Mr B., the owner/farmer regularly and he was very friendly/helpful. We chose this house because there is no light pollution and no traffic noise and no local amenities. It is the perfect place to get away from it all. We were so happy with the house we’ve already booked again for next year.

Perfect cottage for 8 to spend a quiet offline break! The internet is basic and signal poor, but that’s not what you visit Yorkshire for!Lovely garden but not completely enclosed, so you have to keep an eye on the dogs.Apart from a few cobwebs the cottage was clean and welcoming. Lovely open log fire! Decent facilities in kitchen.
