The historic market town of Richmond is just 5 miles away with much to offer. Explore the cobbled market square or stroll up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Head north to Barnard Castle, its streets lined with independent shops, cafes and art galleries. Bowes Museum is also well worth a visit.
