Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the cottage's cosy atmosphere, cleanliness, and superb location in Richmond, close to the market square and scenic walks. The property offers comfortable beds and a welcoming arrival experience. Some guests mention the convenience of a garage, though size limitations are noted. The cottage's charm and amenities have led to repeat visits and recommendations.

The cottage is frequently described as clean and comfortable, with fresh linens and towels. However, a few guests noted issues with kitchen cleanliness and a smelly hoover, slightly affecting the overall impression.

The location is highly praised for its central position in Richmond, offering easy access to local shops, the market square, and beautiful walks. The convenience for exploring North Yorkshire is a highlight.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, but some have reported issues with the heating system and inadequate warmth in the evenings, which impacts the overall comfort level.

While the cottage is appreciated for its essential amenities, guests have pointed out shortcomings in kitchen equipment, the absence of a freezer, and issues with the shower and heating system. The presence of a garage is a plus, though its size is a constraint for larger vehicles.

There are mentions of a welcome pack and the provision of milk and biscuits, which indicate thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently referenced across reviews, it is not possible to guarantee their provision for future guests.

Larger than the photos suggest. Lovely to hear the waterfalls from the open bedroom windows at night.

The house was perfect in terms of location, character, cleanliness and had a great tv, games, books and kitchen / dining facilities. The garage was also VERY handy and our Nissan X-trail squeezed in with a cm to spare! We have family in the area and visit every couple of years; over the years we have stayed in a number of different places - however in the future we need look no further as #11 is a perfect home from home for us and we will definitely return. I am happy for you to publish the above, but the following, please only share with the owners: As mentioned above everything was perfect and we will certainly return in the future. I just have one small point that you may not be aware of, which didn't affect our stay in the slightest, but may help - chatting with a neighbour of the property, they felt the weeds and growth out the front was giving the property / road a bad look. It looked a very easy fix to me. Thanks again, Chris
