A perfect cottage. Wonderfully quiet & peaceful, with a rabbit & hens feeding amongst the wild flowers from the kitchen window. The best equipped cottage we've ever stayed in and amazingly detailed handbook on how everything works. Very efficient central heating. The huge bathroom on the top floor was a treat with a big shower & deep bath under the dormer window. The wildflower meadows around Gunnerside and in Muker were beautiful in June. The mattresses & pillows were excellent. Lots of local maps and books available. We made use of the Friday fish & chip van. Sitting outside with the sound of Gunnerside Ghyll just yards away and the birdsong was just ideal. We would definitely recommend and will return .

The cottage was fabulous, location spot on. The cottage felt like home away from home. Fabulous welcome pack which we thoroughly enjoyed. The instructions for all the equipment in the cottage was the best I have seen and we use a lot of cottages. We would have no reservation in recommending this cottage and would certainly use again if we are in the area
