The first floor opens into a fabulous open plan living space, with glass balustrade allowing the views beyond through the huge arched window. At night electric blinds give you complete privacy. Situated adjacent to the owner’s property, 7 miles between Richmond and Barnard Castle, within seven acres of grounds, Sykelands Grange Cottages are the ideal location for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Discreetly tucked away close to the Yorkshire Dales, yet close to the main routes of the A66 Pennine Way and the A1 Scotch Corner, guests will find themselves within easy driving distance of many popular attractions and locations. The historic and picturesque market town of Barnard Castle can be easily reached within a seven-mile drive and offers guests the opportunity to explore the popular Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle and Raby Castle, as well as the weekly farmer’s market and quaint high street. The Georgian market town of Richmond is just seven miles away in the opposite direction. A little further afield but still within an hour’s drive are Catterick Races, Masham, Harrogate, Ripon, Thirsk and York.
There is a local pub just a couple of miles away which serves excellent food and drink as well as a locally respected farm shop, which offers produce from the local area. Only 30 minutes from the majestic Yorkshire Dales, walkers and cyclists will find this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers the most fabulous views.

The place was gorgeous and we loved the hot tub, we didn’t want to leave at all and the owner was lovely if anything was needed she’d be there straight away. It was also so dark at night we managed to see the northern lights from sat in the hot tub it was brilliant will definitely book again
