A superb, semi-detached house in a quiet position, a couple of minutes' walk from the centre of the pretty market town of Helmsley. Lovingly and tastefully furnished and decorated, the property offers extremely comfortable accommodation, with spacious, sunny bedrooms, a lovely sitting room with open fire, and a delightful conservatory opening onto a pretty garden in which to relax and unwind. Enjoy riverside walks, traditional tea rooms and former coaching inns. Explore the market square and lanes with a selection of shops and pubs, or visit the stately home at Duncombe Park. Helmsley has its own castle and walled garden, both within a five minute walk. Within easy reach are the stunning North York Moors, Whitby, Scarborough and much, much more. An ideal base for everyone!
On the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park is the prestigious market town of Helmsley. Lying in a sheltered corner of Upper Ryedale, this lovely settlement boasts a spacious market square surrounded by houses, hotels and shops as well as a 12th Century castle. English Heritage's Rievaulx Abbey is close by too and there is a multitude of excellent walks in the near vicinity, the most well known of these - the Cleveland Way – starting in the village itself. The region's capital of York is less than an hour's drive to the south, whilst Scarborough and the east coast just over an hour. The famous steam railway line at Pickering is just a thirty minute drive away.

Helmsley is a wonderful place to visit with plenty of things to do and see, so Castle View is well placed for this. Helen is so friendly and available if you need to ask anything while youâre staying there. We will definitely be returning and couldnât have asked for a better place to stay.

Great for our holiday with 2 dogs and Mum and dad who are elderly and were able to use the ground floor bedroom. Everything you need and so close to the centre of Helmsley. Fab holiday thank you so much

. we had 3 generations (plus 2 small dogs ) and it works perfectly, the downstairs bedroom/ bathroom is especially great for my elderly mother . The places is spotlessly clean , with comfy beds and lots of seating options both in and out . Helen the owner is very friendly & helpful too .
