We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The host communicates very well and instructions are very clear. Our only negative is that we couldn’t stay longer. Thank you!

Once inside the property, it was well appointed. However, the entrance way through a shared alley that housed the bins wasn't particularly pleasant.Although there was plenty of light due to the rooflights none of the windows had a pleasant outlook which was a shame considering we were in the heart of Yorkshire. The property appeared clean but unfortunately it was just surface clean. The bedding was clean but the duvets themselves smelt of stale sweat, so much so we went out and bought some of our own to use.Sadly, it was also clear that previous visitors with dogs had not ensured their pets were supervised and cleaned up after them properly so there was a distinct smell of dog *** in the stairwell, entrance way. There was a lot of human hair and dog hair floating about, we tried to clean this up for our own benefit but it soon became clear why this was the case, the vacuum cleaner spread more dust, dirt and hair than it picked up.

Higgledy hideout was well positioned, very well presented and the welcome hamper a pleasant surprise. Angie had rung early that day over a small issue and that was also appreciated. The coffee pods are not available in the village so more supplies please.A good place to base yourselves for the area.Recommended.
