Horcum View is a holiday bungalow located in the heart of Lockton with views over the North Yorkshire Moors. Peaceful location, with the occasional sound of the steam train chugging its way through the valley. Take a journey on the steam train (Levisham station ½ mile) through the heart of the National Park. North Yorkshire Moors are home to abbeys, castles and cycle/bridle paths. Visit Castle Howard, Yorkshire’s finest historic house and estate, or Eden Camp, a unique museum. Shop 6 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Lovely bungalow in quiet country village, 10 minutes away from larger town for groceries etc. Owners have provided everything needed and more. Beds are comfortable, lounge comfortable, TV with catch up and dvd's. Garden is a bird watchers paradise, these can be viewed from the conservatory. Shower and bathroom are also very good. Kitchen has everything needed, and host left nice items for us. All in all we would definitely stay again if in north Yorkshire.

Well equipped , comfortable and homely bungalow with a beautiful garden. The village is picturesque. There are two excellent pubs within 10 minutes by car and a tearoom in the village. Would certainly book again if travelling to the area.

The conservatory was a good place to sit and enjoy the birds visiting the feeders and the garden was well tended. Distant views of the moors a bonus. Good local walks involving steep hills. Can walk to Levisham station to see the steam trains.
