We stayed over Christmas and it was the most amazing time. Bed’s super comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had the log burner roaring and felt so cosy. We ate at the Buck Inn pub, literally 15 steps away, the food and atmosphere were perfect. Our granddaughter loved her bedroom and said it was the best sleep she’s had. Just a couple of things to be aware of, there wasn’t any condiments, so make sure you take salt & pepper. Luckily the Buck Inn gave us some. Also, it wasn’t decorated for Xmas, which we were aware of in advance as I had asked, so I took a pop up tree and few trimmings to make it festive. The garden is lovely but it isn’t fenced off for your pooches. Overall I would 100% recommend Stonecroft cottage and definitely return.

Really enjoyed our 2 week stay lovely cottage right next door to the buck inn Really clean comfortable beds shower was great Really wam with the towel rail in there well equipped kitchen plus an fire tv only 2 mile from pickering we walk it most nights with our dog just need a torch only about 20 miles from whitby so a great base for anybody who like walking holidays quiet on a night so very restful would highly recommend

We really enjoyed our week at Stonecroft. The cottage is beautifully presented, warm and comfortable.As it was snowing, the woodburner was a great asset. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are spacious.Shower works really well. We also found everything we needed in the kitchen.Plenty of room to park a car, off road, right outside the door,There is a pub next door with seasonal opening hours and the food and service were very good. The cottage was in a great position for us, geographically , being about 7 minutes by car outside Pickering. Its a shame there isn't a shop in the village but 3 minutes by car there is a petrol station with an excellent Spar attached.We would definitely stay again.
