Close to both coast and countryside the cottages allow you to take full advantage of the scenic, traditional British seaside town of Filey, while for those who enjoy striding out along rural trails, the North York Moors are on your doorstep. The cottages have an open, shared lawn to the front of the properties, and a well-equipped games room and children’s play area. The cottages are not located on any public transport routes and therefore it is recommended you have your own transport. Filey is a traditional Edwardian seaside town. A perfect place for an active holiday or just to relax. The five mile stretch of sandy beach is protected by the rocky grandeur of Filey Brigg. Surfing, fishing, yachting, golf, walking and bird watching are just a few of the available activities. The Evron Centre provides plentiful entertainment with music, song, dance and theatre on offer. Filey has many restaurants and hostelries providing superb cuisine. Should you wish to travel further afield you will find that Yorkshire glories in one of the finest stretches of coastline in Britain, golden beaches, rocky coves and towering cliffs. Further to the north is Whitby, a picturesque fishing port and inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Moors Railway, 18 miles of preserved railway are both close by, as is Flamingo Land. Shops 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

We stayed at Bevan for a week. We had a lovely time exploring the local areas. The cottage itself was lovely. It was well furnished and well equipped. The kitchen had everything that you would need and we did a lot of cooking there. We were near the playground and my little boy enjoyed playing with the other children. It’s was lovely and clean when we arrived and provided the perfect base for our holiday. The bedrooms were all well furnished and had plenty of storage. All round we had a wonderful time and would return as we enjoyed it so much. It is a little isolated so a car is a must. Be an is located on a lovely site and the set up is really good. We didn’t use the games room as I believe the pool cues had no tips. We didn’t need to be inside tbh as the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside but if the weather had been bad this might have bothered us more. Also I had to contact the host to provide guidance regarding the windows in the bedroom and I received a response within an hour. Thank you for a lovely stay!
