Filey 3 miles. White Rose Cottage is a fabulous excuse to explore the stunning Yorkshire Coast and beautiful countryside. The cottage has been designed, furnished and equipped with the holidaymaker in mind ensuring a most enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing stay whilst here at The Bay. The open plan sitting room offers a spacious and comfortable living area, complete with dining table. French doors lead out onto a small, private south-facing patio, an ideal place to sit and relax, whilst enjoying a morning coffee and planning your day ahead. The cottage sits at the heart of this pretty holiday village, with all the facilities within a short stroll and with private access to a glorious golden sandy beach.
With a great choice of activities on your doorstep, including fishing, bike hire, tennis and a putting green, you can leave your car parked up for your entire stay! There is a pub nearby serving food, or for a more intimate dining experience there is an Italian restaurant. The Blue Flag beach provides a five mile playground and is perfect for flying a kite, snoozing in a deckchair or building a sandcastle. A delightful walk along the shore will bring you into Filey, which is refreshingly different and after one visit you are sure to be addicted. The town offers something for everyone, but it remains unspoilt and retains an Edwardian elegance.
There is a great choice of places to eat, some quirky shops for a memorable souvenir and Filey's very own Coble Landing with its colourful boats and kiosks. For children, the nearby Playdale Farm Park is a must, come rain or shine as there is a huge indoor play area and interactive paddocks where children can join in and feed the animals. The countryside around and about provides an endless choice for walkers, cyclists, history buffs and anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty all around. The surrounding area has so much to offer, with the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, cliff-top walks at Flamborough Head and stately homes such as Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House to visit.

Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths, and ginnels.

It is decorated beautifully but unfortunately for us it was let down by the issues with cleanliness. The bathroom was not clean, I had to clean it before I could use it. The floors were dirty and needed a good thorough clean. The carpet going up the stairs is stained and behind the bedside tables and the bed were really dirtyâ¦months and months of dust, hair and tissues. I contacted the owner and she was very apologetic and rang the cleaners immediately. They came the next day to sort out the issues we had. It also states on the listing that there is a luxury tea tray which we didnât have only some basic tea & coffee again the owner apologised and she gave me a bottle of Processco. I like to share my honest review as I choose my accomodation based on previous reviews but I didnât find the accomodation to be as their previous guests had found it. We have stayed in 3 different properties on The Bay and fortunately this is the first time I have had any issues with cleanliness.

Bedrooms very comfortable and a very modern bathroom Apartment very clean and excellent for dogs.Very close to beach and the site's facilities. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
