With a vintage 70s feel throughout, the apartment this holiday home is quite unique. Enter into the well presented kitchen/dining room. Open the cupboards and find a plethora of items from the 1970s, including a retro mid-winter crockery collection! There is plenty of worktop space from which to prepare delicious evening meals which can be enjoyed on the central dining table. For a quick morning coffee or afternoon snack there is also a small breakfast bar. Along the corridor are two beautiful and well-presented bedrooms with clever use of retro furniture from the 1970s. The bright and airy living rooms sits to the front of the property and offers a large Smart TV, deep-filled sofa and a selection of arm chairs offering the perfect spot for a relaxing evening in. The accommodation is finished with a further bedroom offering triple bunk beds and a Freeview TV. The apartment enjoys access to a large private garden where children can run free, collect fruit from the apple trees or enjoy a game of cricket.
A short stroll from the apartment will bring you to both the golden sandy beach or into the bustling town centre which offers a hots of tea rooms, shops and restaurants. Enjoy a walk to Filey Brigg Country Park or venture out along the small peninsula to take in the wildlife. The Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park is a great activity for those with younger children, with a chance to meet some friendly farm animals up close and some pretty birds, whilst the Filey Dams Nature Reserve is another great walking place.
The Flamborough Heritage Coastline offers miles of walking opportunities and a visit to rspb Bempton Cliffs is an absolute must. Further along the coast are the thriving towns of Bridlington and Scarborough, and inland are the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. There are a number of golf courses to choose from should you wish to enjoy a round or two, and for shopping the port town of Hull and historic walled city of York are both under an hour away. Return to the comfort of the spacious apartment and enjoy your Yorkshire holiday.

1 Parking: the initial description on website described as both ‘on road’ and ‘on site’ then after booking information describes parking ‘on private road adjacent to accommodation during day but move to on road at night’ but then in the instructions folder on arrival parking is ‘on private road whilst unloading only then move to on road,misleading to say the least.2 Heating: Adequate as programmed during the day but our group included 12 month old baby who was waking because of the cold. Instructions folder advised to follow instructions on control panel in the hall to override we tried but it heating still not coming on at night Thankfully owner sent plumber but plumber explained that whilst we could override the system during the day the system could only be amended by the owners at night who would have to supply the pin.3 Kitchen equipment : ‘a plethora of equipment’ - a jumble of equipment - drawers and cupboards jam packed with stuff making finding an taking stuff out very difficult e.g removing a lot of stuff to get at pans half emptying drawer to find a sharp knife we ended up leaving out the stuff we were using left the rest in situ.Some stuff was dirty and rusty and we would not use. Photos in attached file.4 Safety : lots of stuff stored on top ( including large televisions ?not sure if these were secured in any way ) and behind wardrobes in two rooms off the corridor The wardrobe in the left hand bedroom was very wobbly -indeed almost on its tipping point - and was not attached to wall We didn’t use them to avoid any accidents. We had requested high chair and travel cot and we were advised these were behind wardrobe - we managed to extricate chair which we had to construct ourselves but left travel cot as it would have been difficult to extricate it and daughter had brought her own in case the one supplied was unsafe.5 Instructions : there were no instructions for oven or microwave -trial and error 6 Garden : ‘ for children to run around play cricket’ grass had not been cut this year middle child couldnt walk in it never mind play.7 Cleanliness: initial smell of bleach to indicate it had been well cleaned but in fact very much a light clean nothing moved dusty surfaces dirt in corners and eg between fridge and wall8 Entrances front and back: Appalling !! Never been cleaned dirt everywhere extraneous stuff lying around smelly Dangerous when wet scaffolding over steps Sent from my iPad
