Read previous comments about bed but we both found it very comfortable. Quiet site with good facilities.

The size, layout, parking, and access to property were all good, and we had no problem with the bed or sofas. Pleased with quality of oven towel and tea towel provided. However, the "fridge freezer" was actually a fridge with an icebox! The shower was hard to control (nearly scalding us the first time we used it), and the spray was totally inadequate despite trying all the various settings. The baking trays were filthy (looked like rust and baked on food), the toaster didn't work properly, and this also seemed rusty. There was just one large saucepan (no small/medium ones) plus the normal frying pan and a very large deep frying pan. Made cooking very difficult. The bin was also far too small for the week, and couldn't see any more bin bags provided. Didn't use the dishwasher, washing machine or microwave, so can't comment on these. There was no storage for our own items in the kitchen/living are, although there was in the bedroom. Cleaners had also just piled the spare duvet etc in the wardrobe, which didn't allow us to hang our clothes in there until we tidied it up. The village layout was nice, and area was very quiet, but the signage around the site was poor and the shop was useless. A bit further to to beach than expected, but steep hill didn't bother us. Beach area clean and tidy. Tried to contact the caretaker prior to the holiday to ask some questions, but just got the laundry person who said the caretaker was on holiday and there was no-one to answer my queries. They said they'd pass my number to the caretaker, and that hopefully they'd call. They didn't! Would have expected a deputy to answer questions if they are away. Had a good holiday despite all this, as attractions and access around this part of the country is great. Could have been so much better with just a little more care.

Enjoyed our stay. A visit to the Royal Oak just down the road is a must. Good food. Nice tidy area. We had everything we needed. Did read the reviews about the bed but we found it comfortable. Would stay again.
