Hunt for fossils at Staithes harbour beach less than half a mile away or join the Cleveland Way National Trail for some spectacular sea views. Join one of the footpaths from the village to journey along to coast to reach Whitby (11 miles) to follow in Bram Stoker’s Count Dracula’s footsteps and climb the 199 steps to the ruins of Whitby Abbey or uncover the charming cobbled narrow streets and Gothic culture around the town.
