Pennysteel Cottage sleeps five guests and is an old fisherman's cottage dating back to the 1800's, situated in the picturesque fishing village of Staithes (famous for its connections with Captain Cook) on the North Yorkshire coastline. With lovely views over the harbour, this is a perfect location for those looking for a seaside retreat.

With beams and wood panelling, Pennysteel Cottage retains much original character and sits in the heart of the village affording breathtaking harbour views from all rooms and the sun terrace - what better place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day!

Located just twenty yards from a superb fish restaurant and local pub serving great food, the village's excellent amenities are all just a short stroll away. These include restaurants, cafes, three pubs in all, a craft and antique shop and the Captain Cook Museum.

Popular with artists, Staithes is famed for its School of Painting and its long history of art is evident throughout the village. It is also a popular spot for photographers with its seascape, cobbled streets, narrow alleyways, fishermen's cottages and golden beach with little rock pools which will entertain the little one for hours (and the adults!).

Located in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, there are fantastic cliff-top walks, allowing you to explore the famous North Yorkshire coastline, including the seaside town of Whitby (eleven miles away); Scarborough and Robin Hood’s Bay. Inland also has much appeal with the North Yorkshire Moors and its many attractions including ‘Heartbeat Country’ and the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway - a great way of taking in the scenery in a leisurely fashion.
