The owner who lives abroad was able to control the thermostat from an app on his phone, but still the heating didnât work. There was a leaky radiator but after carrying out the instructions that the owner had sent through to reboot the system, it still didnât work, so we came home on the Monday as it was very cold inside the cottage. The main bathroom which is downstairs was also too cold to use but we did manage to get the electric towel rail in the upstairs shower room to work which took the chill off the room. The cottage is located in a very tranquil spot down by the river, but at 8 am on the Monday morning, we were woken up by the sound of the builders who are carrying out renovations to the adjoining house. Please note that the double bed in the main bedroom is only a 4 foot bed and not a regular double bed size. This could be a good cottage if a few changes were made, but if you do decide to visit, make sure you take some firelighters and kindling if you are planning to use the log burners, hand soap, oven gloves, a waste food caddy and bin bags. There was a nice welcome basket on arrival, however, I would have rather had central heating that worked.

It was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Beautifully decorated, very clean, super practical, extremely cosy and full of love. We loved having our coffee in the garden on a morning and sitting by the fire on an evening. Can't recommend it enough. Simply perfect.

The only suggestion I would recommend, would be too have shower mat's and hand rails in the bathrooms .Other than that it was perfect.great holiday accommodation.
