Really enjoyed our stay at Bickley House, great location, very scenic, quiet and relaxing place. Facilities were great all the rooms are a good size, sitting in the garden having breakfast, great experience, local wildlife wondering past. Access was great, you do think you’ve taken a wrong turn initially but stick with it and you’ll be amazed when it pops into view. Definitely go again.

Another good stay in this idylic cottage. We enjoy the remote, peaceful location with dark skies and the sound of birdsong. Comfy beds with nice quality bedding and an excellent shower. A clean, warm well equipped cottage

The perfect place to ‘ get away from it all’. The Annex was perfect ( I’d visited as a child when it was still a school) and it’s still the totally unspoiled spot I remember. A multitude of forest walks, an amazing amount and variety of fungi, birdsong and a quietly gurgling river just below the cottage as an accompaniment to an evening stroll. For ‘local amenities’ read the stall at the road end with fresh fruit and vegetables, pickles, fresh eggs etc. Come well provided with food, the nearest shops are quite some distance away. Thank you for having us, we’ve returned refreshed and restored with every intention of returning to this corner of Yorkshire heaven!
