Guests say

Guests appreciate the European Lodge for its central location, secure environment for pets, and scenic views. The lodge is praised for its cleanliness, friendly site, and extra touches like chocolates and fresh flowers. Some concerns over mattress comfort and noise from nearby pub were noted, but overall, the property is well-regarded for its spaciousness and on-site dog walks.

The lodge generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and tidy upon arrival. However, one review mentioned issues with cleanliness, including dirty carpets and stained bedding, which impacts the score.

The location is considered central and easy to find, with Scarborough seafront a short drive away. The proximity to the clubhouse and noise issues slightly detract from the score.

The lodge is seen as suitable for guests with mobility issues and pets. However, some guests found the mattresses, particularly on the bunk beds, to be uncomfortable, affecting the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the lodge being fully equipped for self-catering. The presence of a hot tub adds to the appeal, though there was an issue that was promptly addressed. The broken step mentioned detracts from the score.

Guests were pleased with thoughtful touches like chocolates on the bed and fresh flowers, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.
