We had a very mixed experience staying at this house.Positives:The location is fantastic close to everything, which made getting around really easy. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, and the beds and towels were comfortable and good quality. We appreciated the little welcome basket, plus the dishwasher tablets and cleaning supplies that were provided. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us.Negatives:The property is on a busy path with a restaurant directly outside. Unfortunately, this meant a lot of noise late into the evening fans running, people chatting, bins being emptied and the bins by the front door sometimes caused an unpleasant smell. The living room is very small for six people, and the furniture felt basic and uncomfortable, more like a waiting room than a cosy lounge. It was hard to move around without bumping into each other. The house has painted floorboards throughout, which made it feel very cold inside (surprisingly, even though it was 26°C outside), and you can hear every movement with the constant creaking. While pets are allowed, we were surprised on arrival by rules stating dogs couldn’t be left alone in the house. This wasn’t made clear when booking and limited what we could do on our holiday. There’s only one bathroom for a three-floor house that sleeps six, which we found quite difficult at times. The kettle was in poor condition (we had to buy descaler ourselves), With the location so close to the beach, a hoover or mop would have been really useful, as sand quickly built up. There was already sand around when we arrived, which i understand its a pain to get rid of. But a hoover would be a great addition There was also an incident where the fire alarms kept going off for no reason this went on for a little while and finally stopped, there was a fire on the moors and we could smell the smoke so we think this caused it. But there was no way to contact anyone. Cottages.com didnt answer the phone and we had no contact info for the owners which we have never experienced before. There was also a small washing machine leak luckily we noticed and turned it off. Again impossible to get in contact with anyone.Overall:The house has some lovely aspects – great location, comfy beds, and well-sized bedrooms, but we feel it was overpriced for what we actually got. The noise, lack of comfort in the living space, hidden pet restrictions, and small details like cleanliness and equipment let it down. This is definitely a budget stay, perfect if you're only going to sleeping there. If you want to relax and socialise with your family then this isnt the place for you.

The house was exactly what we expected. We did have an issue with the twin room window not having a lock on as our 6 yr old autistic lad was staying in that room which is on the top floor. Credit to the company, we rang them and someone was sent straight away and fitted a lock to the window. Very much appreciated. All the little extras, milk, tea, coffee, washing stuff, toilet roll etc... were all ready for us. Didn't ask but it's the attention to detail that makes you settle into house quickly. We wanted to be near to the beach and couldn't really be any nearer. Really liked the house and will book again in the future.

Everything you need, they provided a cot which was so appreciated, clearly brand new and all the amenities were new. Great shower, felt like home from home. The owner however did turn off the boiler so we couldnt acces hot water but someone was straight out and so it was not a problem. Great location, parking is pricey being £9 a day but with the location its not surprising. Very responsive host. Spacious rooms upstairs, a small court yard perfect for dogs.
