Utterly perfect for a holiday at any time of year, we welcome you to Puffling Place, within steps of Scarborough’s historic centre and named after the beautiful pufflings that are born every May and June just along the Coast at Bempton Cliffs. Puffling Place welcomes you with a huge hug and immediately gives you the feeling you want from a holiday cottage – its clean, laid back and comfortable with everything you could need for a truly super holiday. Situated literally steps from Scarborough town centre this beautiful home is ideally placed for exploring the myriad of individual shops, tea-rooms, bars and restaurants in Scarborough itself. It is of course also just a few minutes walk down the hill to the glorious sandy beaches that everyone loves, together with the fun fair, harbour, SEALIFE Centre, brooding castle ruins and lots of local attractions. Whilst we know that a holiday is about getting out and about and enjoying yourselves, we also know you will be equally happy at coming home after a day out or on the beach to gorgeous Puffling Place – which was an historic old fisherman’s cottage – originally 2 back to back cottages which has been lovingly restored into this inviting home. Downstairs there is a contemporary open plan design marrying elegance with a laid back feeling of comfort. The entrance hall with its coat rack leads through into the lounge with its stunning high gloss floor, huge squashy sofas and additional chairs offering seating for up to 8 guests or more! There is an electric fire set within the impressive mantel and a huge 50” TV for everyone to enjoy. Throughout the room there are lovely little touches like the handpainted side tables, the silver decorations on the hearth and the designer window chairs that make this room both stunning and inviting. The contemporary fitted kitchen with is literally stuffed with appliances and tools – so whether you want to cook up a storm or just have a family take-away this room will work for you. There is also another TV here together with doors out to the rear yard which is painted and lit in the evenings. Up the stairs the first floor offers the principal bedroom with superking velvet sleigh bed and luxury bedding as well as a generous single which has a trundle bed option so it easily accommodates 2. This level has its own bathroom with full suite including bath and separate shower cubicle> The principally white colour scheme is accented differently I each room so each space has its own personality. Climbing the second “smuggler” style staircase – it being narrow and intriguing there are two further bedrooms – a king to the front and a superking to the rear (which can usefully be split into two singles) – these rooms are also furnished with high quality bedding and have their own sense of style. There is also a shower room on this floor completing the property’s accommodation. The owners would welcome one well behaved dog to enjoy the family holiday with you – another reason that makes Puffling Place so special!
Resting on the North Yorkshire coast is the popular seaside town of Scarborough, frequented by holidaymakers since the Victorian era, this classic coastal location is perfect for a refreshing escape. Delight in strolls along the promenade and pier, with beach days on the sandy shores of Scarborough's two beaches, and visits to the many attractions including SEA life Scarborough, Alpamare UK water park, and Scarborough Castle. Indulge in fish and chips on the seafront or wine and dine in one of the many excellent restaurants and pubs here. Within reach of the beautiful North York Moors too, Scarborough makes a wonderful holiday base.
