This is a great sized house for social get togethers; on the ground floor you have a large open plan living room with a dining table for eight so that you can enjoy meals together. Comfortable sofas in front of the TV are ideal for winding down after a busy day exploring. The adjoining kitchen is well equipped, making this a home from home where you can create all your favourite meals. There are four good sized bedrooms, all well-presented. Upstairs on the first floor there is a super king bedroom as well as a twin room. Up on the second floor you have a second twin room as well as a king bedroom. There are two bathrooms, one of the first and one on the second floor, both with baths with showers over. At the rear of the property you have an adjoining garage for your use as well as an additional parking space in front of the garage door, which is a great bonus in a popular seaside town where parking can be tricky.
Just a few doors away you have a small convenience store, ideal for grabbing essentials as well as food and drinks. Cafés, restaurants, bars and an array of shops, as well as the train station, are all within a 5-10 minute walk away. Here in Scarborough there are two bays, North Bay Beach sweeps in a crescent lined with colourful beach huts from the Sea Life Centre nearby. You can walk from the North Bay all the way along the promenade to the busier South Bay. Both bays have lovely, large sandy beaches making them perfect for your family holiday. There is also Scarborough Castle and the funfair on the seafront. Peasholm Park is wonderful to discover, you can hire pedalos and rowing boats to go around the lake and see the stunning oriental gardens. Scarborough is famous for its theatres. There is an outdoor theatre which stages concerts by some of music’s big names, and then there is the Stephen Joseph Theatre which is famous for the premieres of Alan Ayckbourn’s plays. The Alpamare waterpark is great for all ages, with its fantastic wave pool and waterslides, as well as a large heated outdoor infinity pool. Keep younger children entertained with the ’splash and play’ area. For adults there is a spa where you can relax and be pampered. The heated outdoor pools are warm enough to enjoy through all of the seasons. Further along the coast you also have Ravenscar, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Bridlington to discover.
There is so much to see and do you are sure to be spoilt for choice, this is a great destination all year round. For dog owners many of the cafés and pubs in this area welcome dogs, and there are some fabulous walking trails over the nearby National Park to enjoy. As well as Scarborough’s beaches you have the glorious coastline to discover – most of the beaches are either dog friendly or have dog friendly sections. The property does not have a garden or an outdoor space but with so many walks nearby to discover, your four legged friend is sure to be in doggy heaven. Beach ¾ mile. Pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

This house was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and clean and well equipped ie dishwasher, fridge freezer, dishwasher microwave oven and hob. The only issue we had was the front bedroom window. The window didn't shut properly and left a gap at the bottom, this meant because the house is near a busy road abd roundabout the traffic noise did effect our sleep. Everything else was fabulous. We would stay at this accommodation again but the window does need fixing so we can get a good night's sleep

Pros- The house is in a great location, right in the centre but far enough away from the busy areas so you are still able to get a restful nights sleep. The house is massive, the pictures do not show how big they are. You could comfortably have 8 people and not be sat on top of each other. There is a shop a couple of doors up which is so handy after a long day and you need to quickly grab something. The main reason we booked this house is because of the parking. To get a house in Scarborough with parking that is off the road is so very rare and not only do you get the off road parking, you also are provided with the holiday scratch cards for on the road parking if you have one or more cars. Cons- The house needs ALOT of TLC. Some examples of this are: wonky/broken toilet seat, carpet coming up in many places, the carpet strips on the stairs poking through so you’d get an odd nail in your foot, flooring in the bathroom bubbling up or has been cut wrong so there is gaps, the shower on the middle floor needs replacing as you can only have it on freezing cold or boiling hot, rusty toilet brush. The house also needs a DEEP clean. This was very evident when entering the house and was hit with the smell of damp dog. Our socks were black within an hour due to the floors being very dirty, the carpet is stained in many areas, the towers were stained, the cushions had dirty marks on them. Both bathrooms had black and pink mould. The kitchen seemed to be lacking some essentials to be able to cook with which some nights made it a bit tricky to cook. Overall if you are looking for a big base that has off road parking and in a central location but not spending a lot of time in, this is the house for you but if you are looking a home away from home then maybe not.
