Please Note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties.. Smuggler’s View is a delightful, modern cottage positioned in an enviable area, on the North Yorkshire National Park area of Ravenscar, near Scarborough. The cottage is a conversion from part of the main house that dates back to 1840 when it was a Coaching Inn, and had links with smuggling which was a flourishing trade on this part of the coast. Smuggler’s View has been tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard and provides a perfect base for families and couples to explore this beautiful Heritage Coast. The cottage has the living area upstairs to make the most of the stunning panoramic views across open countryside and the sea. The area is a haven for walkers, cyclists and dog walkers with many pathways direct from your front door, and golf is available nearby.

Bicycles must not be stored in the cottage. There is an outdoor bike rack in the car park, adjacent to this is a bike shed for up to 4 bikes, as well as an unlocked outbuilding which has a wall mounted lock which can store a further 3 bikes.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Smugglers View, cottage was well equipped, very clean and comfortable and a beautiful location. The owners were very helpful and even though we arrived late on the Friday evening the arrival instructions were very clear. Very near the Cleveland way for walking and beautiful views over the local countryside.Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

We had a lovely holiday with good walks on the coast between Whitby and Scarborough. Ravenscar is limited in amenities which is part of its appeal. Read about it before you go. The sight and sound of the seal colony is magical. The cottage had everything we needed. A home from home. Perfect.
