The Rise is top quality accommodations! As soon as you walk in the door, you know that you are going to feel at home with tasteful, thoughtful decor and many amenities included. The kitchen is well equipped, special toiletries are left in the bathroom, and the towels - Oh the towels! Large and luxuriously soft. The chairs and bed are comfortable, but be aware the bunk beds are probably better suited to children or smaller adults. The Rise is cosy (I was there for 3 weeks in November) and the big front windows and snuggly rugs gave me a perfect, warm and safe view of the 2 days of snow! A delightful surprise given I come from Florida. The location couldn't be better; a short walk to the beach in one direction, the Market Hall in the other. And it's a quick walk to the town centre where shops, restaurants, grocery stores and art and craft galleries abound.Scarborough is a jewel of a town; so much to see and do both in town and around a wide area. There are plentiful buses available, the station is close if you want to travel to York, Leeds or further afield. And the local guide books, magazines and maps are treasure troves.I'm keeping my fingers crossed The Rise will be available next time I visit. It will be my first choice of a place to stay!

Fantastic location, a little small for families, but great for couples.

We have mixed feelings about this stay. The accommodation itself is nicely done. The location on the face of it would be perfect (close to beach/amenities etc) but unfortunately we had bad experiences with people near by when parking up and/or just walking back to the apartment including shouting, throwing things and someone banging on the door at night. The area near the apartment didn’t feel that safe unfortunately. Also, parking is very tricky to get a spot nearby which given the antisocial behaviour wasn’t great. The accommodation itself was nicely done and thought out though it could do with a deep clean, fitted (or better fitting/made) sheets on the bed. It was a little dingey inside for our liking.
