Please note: There is a shallow unfenced pond in the courtyard.. With views of Danby Dale, these detached, former working barns, set on an organic Grade II listed model farm, date back to the 1800s. Bridle paths and cycle tracks abound through the farm to villages tucked away deep in the valleys of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Visit Kirkby Moorside, Pickering, Helmsley and Guisborough inland, and the coastal villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby. The North Yorkshire Moors steam train travels from Whitby to Pickering, passing through ’Heartbeat’s’ village of Goathland. Shops and pub 1 mile.
Dale House (ISH), North Range (ISJ) and Coltus Lands (ISK) can be booked together to accommodate up to 18 guests.

The cottage itself is lovely. Super clean, warm and cosy. We loved the remoteness of it and the location really is ideal for walking. You are really off grid here with limited wifi and no phone signal at all. Which we loved but the teenager was less impressed with! The log burner was a welcome addition as the nights got cold. There are great places to eat nearby too. We would definitely consider staying here again. One thing we missed was a personal touch when checking in - we know this would have helped when we had a few hiccups but we know that this doesn’t suit everyone. We had a great stay. Thank you.
