Situated in the desirable ’’West Cliff’’ location and close to the famous Whitby Whale Bones this home from home is a mere stone’s throw away from the 3 miles of golden sandy beach, and only a few minutes walk into the town centre and harbour areas. Ideal if you want to leave your car and explore the area on foot. Within just 50 yards you will also find a shop, pub and restaurant. Enjoying breathtaking and uninterrupted views from the lounge you can see out to sea and as far as Kettleness Nab some 7 miles away. The kitchen and bedroom also afford stunning atmospheric church views, that come into their own on an evening due to the beautiful stained glass windows. It is a spacious, well-equipped apartment that has recently been refurbished and provides a perfect base for couples looking to explore Whitby town, this stunning coastline or the North York Moors National Park areas.

Biggest downside is that the bathroom is off the living room, which is a terrible design. The instructions for using the heating are wrong, as there is no yellow dial in the hall.

Sorry we no longer get a pint of fresh milk and Bothams biscuits.Very sad that despite numerous complaints about the lack of loo roll and a spare that we needed to go out early Monday morning to purchase a supply. This is not budget accommodation and in the previous twelve years these small items have been welcome. Not missed until they are not there.

Good 2nd floor flat, sea view from lounge.Fairly comfortable but a few issues need attention.Bathroom - cracked basin, discoloured tile grouting, and shower screen seal is discoloured and damaged. Toilet seat doesn't fit the pan, won't stay up and is in poor condition - reported by a number of guests in visitor book over some time.Kitchen - dining table legs are working loose and need re tightening.Bedroom - may be time for a new mattress. We have stayed here several times and it feels less comfy than it did.Communal area - the stairs carpet could be cleaner and the walls could use fresh paint. The second floor landing was re plastered but is still undecorated over a year on.
