Ground floor facilities. NB: Shallow unfenced pond in courtyard.. With views of Danby Dale, these detached, former working barns, set on an organic Grade II listed model farm, date back to the 1800s. Bridle paths and cycle tracks abound through the farm to villages tucked away deep in the valleys of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Visit Kirkby Moorside, Pickering, Helmsley and Guisborough inland, and the coastal villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby. The North Yorkshire Moors steam train travels from Whitby to Pickering, passing through ’Heartbeat’s’ village of Goathland. Shops and pub 1 mile.

We had a really comfortable stay. It was clean and was well equipped. There was plenty of hot water and the log fire was easy to light and clean. It is in a lovely quiet spot., and easy enough to walk into Castleton.

Great place, superb surroundings. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. Bedrooms lovely furnished with enough space. Be mindful when driving down the track if in a low suspension car.
