Guests say

Esk View (formerly Harbour View) in Whitby is a well-loved cottage, praised for its fantastic location with stunning harbour views and proximity to the town. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and the welcoming touch of milk and biscuits on arrival. While some guests mention challenges with heating and remote controls, the overall sentiment is positive with many keen to return.

One review mentions that the cleanliness let the property down, suggesting room for improvement in this area. However, there are not enough reviews discussing cleanliness to provide a comprehensive assessment.

The location is consistently praised for its proximity to the town and harbour, fantastic views, and the benefit of off-road parking. However, it is noted that the access road is tight and may not be ideal for those with mobility issues.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, with positive remarks about the views from the living room and bedroom. There is a mention of difficulty with the shower, but overall, the comfort level is high.

The cottage is equipped with necessary facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and good WiFi. Some guests experienced issues with heating and the shower, indicating that some maintenance may be required.

While guests appreciate the thoughtful gesture of milk and biscuits on arrival, there are not enough references to other thoughtful touches to provide a score. It should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Absolutely loved our stay, fantastic location right near the harbour, comfortable beds slept lovely , a salt and pepper for the kitchen would be nice save us having to bring our own. Lovely gesture of a pint of milk and choc digestives on arrival and tea and coffee, struggled with using heating but figured it out, and so many remotes took us a while to figure out which does what 🤣 but would definitely come back again this is the 3rd time we have booked with this cottage and never been disappointed

the location of the property is really good and it has the added advantage of offroad parking. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property let it down and also the property needs work doing to it.
