Step into the cottage and be welcomed by the stunning open-plan living area, boasting original strip wooden floors and exposed beams. After enjoying a sumptuous meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, put your feet up in the cosy sitting room, taking position next to the alluring woodburning stove while catching up on your favourite TV show.
Head up the wooden spiral staircase to find the bedrooms, consisting of a king size and twin in Jack-and-Jill layout. Both bedrooms feature their own lush en-suite shower room, providing much convenience for guests. The location of this property is highly desirable, being just a short stroll from a range of delicious eateries and the stunning Whitby beach, a long stretch of sand ideal for spending hours sunbathing or paddling in the sea. Visit the Whitby Museum to brush up on some local history, or head to see the Whitby Harbour East Lighthouse, a perfect opportunity to capture some impressive waterside photos.
Alternatively, climb the steps to the famous ruins of Whitby Abbey that sits high above the town and be rewarded with wonderful views of the coastline. Weâve stayed here many times and keep coming back. Perfectly situated right in the heart of Whitby. The cottage has everything you need, really cosy. Highly recommend.

An extra key would of been handy due to the parking restrictions for loading and unloading other than that loved it will be back

Everything worked. It was very cosy. It was in a great position - right in the mix of things. Loved that. It was definitely worth the money for the time we stayed. It made our stay in Whitby a pleasant and enjoyable experience. I know the cottage is small and space saving ideas were put in place to accommodate this, however, areas for comment: Sink in kitchen could have done with a draining board. Bins in kitchen were difficult to access in a low draw. A washing machine would have been useful. Sinks in bathrooms too small. It would have been good to have parking scratch cards more visible - did not notice these until we were leaving! This is being picky and exacting as the property is a place I would definitely recommend. The list above reflects our preference when staying away from home.
