Heatherlea is a charming, spacious cottage in Whitby, appreciated for its cosy, old-fashioned appeal and ample living areas. Guests enjoy the scenic garden views and find the ground floor accommodation comfortable. While some updates are suggested for the kitchen and bathroom, the property's character and convenience, including on-site parking, are well-regarded.
The property is generally described as clean, but there are mentions of out-of-date food in the freezer and a bad smell from the washing machine, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.
There is not enough information provided in the reviews to accurately assess the location of the property, hence the score is set to null.
Guests find the property very comfortable, with spacious rooms and a cosy atmosphere. However, one guest with disabilities faced difficulties due to the lack of a walk-in shower.
The facilities are functional and adequate, but some guests noted that the bathroom and kitchen could use updating. There were also issues with garden furniture condition and a partially working electric fire.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. As such, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that any additional amenities or gifts are not guaranteed.

I had a lovely time at the cottage! The main living areas truly steal the show. The bedrooms, lounge with TV, and dining room are wonderfully large and have a delightful old-fashioned charm. It felt incredibly cosy and provided plenty of space for relaxing. The kitchen and bathroom are, as described with shower over the bath. While they were perfectly functional and clean, they could benefit from an update. However, this didn't detract significantly from our overall enjoyment.I also appreciated the convenience of having parking right on the driveway. If you're looking for a stay with character, space, and is cosy, this is a great choice!

Heatherlea is a lovely place to stay. The accommodation is the ground floor of the owners' home. It is self-contained, very spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view from the back garden is lovely and the back garden is a beautiful spot from which to enjoy it.
