Inland, the North York Moors National Park invites exploration with its rolling purple heather in late summer, ancient abbey ruins, steam railways, and dramatic landscapes. Nearby attractions include the Captain Cook & Staithes Heritage Centre, Runswick Bay’s fossil-filled shoreline, and the Saltburn Cliff Tramway — one of the oldest water-powered funiculars still in operation. Clean and comfortable. Good location with sea view. Within walking distance of Staithes and Runswick + there's a lovely café just down the hill in Hinderwell. Will visit again!
