Sunnydene is a well-loved, cosy cottage praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, warm bedrooms, and the charm of the property. The proximity to local amenities and the harbour adds to its appeal, with many guests returning and recommending it for future stays.
Guests consistently mention the cottage being spotlessly clean and well-presented, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the harbour, local pubs, and restaurants. The views and ease of access to village amenities contribute to a favourable assessment, despite the mention of a steep hill for parking.
The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with guests enjoying the open fire and warm bedrooms. Some minor suggestions for improvement, such as the addition of a fan and more comfortable outdoor seating, are noted.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and smart TV. However, some guests suggest updating cookware and the addition of a washing machine, leading to a slightly lower score.
While guests mention a complimentary bottle of wine, there are not enough references to other thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are appreciated but not guaranteed.

Lovely cosy cottage in great location. Spotlessly clean & well equipped. Loved snuggling up in front of the open fire listening to the storm outside. We've stayed in lots of holiday cottages & this is one of our new favourites, we shall definitely return.

We loved our week at ‘Sunnydene’. Lovely, well-equipped house in a special place, despite it being a fair walk to the nearest Co-Op (up to main road, then turn left) if you want to buy a newspaper! Theakston’s Old Peculiar (on draught) is almost ‘the perfect pint’ served at the Royal George while the Cod & Lobster offer some scrummy seafood (best to book to secure a favoured table), oh and not forgetting Dotty’s Vintage Tea Rooms for a lovely cuppa and great breakfasts or brunch.
