Liked the photos of county house apartment,but upon entry the reality was different, the furniture was tired and worn and the cleanliness of the apartment was very poor, the toilet bowl was very stained plus the toilet was difficult to flush,the bottom sheet on the bed had a dried blood stain and the kitchen chairs were all stained, plus carpets were starting to fray at doors, advertised as a 4 star but in reality just about a 3 star

We had a great week. We loved the mezzanine; a great use of space. It has everything you need and is clean and comfortable. The parking space is a huge bonus! The location is perfect; you can see the Minister from the flat and The Shambles is a 10min walk. We really loved it and thoroughly recommend, but the sound proofing isn't great; you can hear next door's music fairly clearly. I could sing along to Guns n' Roses at midnight. I could also tell you what they were watching on TV. The WiFi could also do with a boost! The only other negative was that communication wasn't great. I asked a question in the days before travelling regarding the amenities, but I only got an automated response. We also had cause to call the 'local contact' we were given over an isue we had, but didn't receive a response in a timescale that was helpful in the circumstances. All these are fairly minor though, compared with our overall experience of the flat. The next time we're in York, we want to stay here!
