We had a wonderful week in Mill House. It was warm and cosy, even in the snow, and it had everything we needed. Cooking on the Aga was a novelty too. The walks around the area were amazing and our dogs loved it. We have already booked to go back. Just a note as previously stated - some doorways/beams are low but you get used to ducking. The drive down to the cottage is steep and uneven so probably wouldn't suit a low sporty car.

We have found a real gem in Mill House. Set in a stunning location, this gorgeous, cosy, clean house felt like a home from home. We absolutely loved it, would recommend and we will definitely return.

This is a lovely cottage in a small village, so any amenities are actually in Helmsley - good pubs/restaurants, quality butchers, lovely shops etc. However, it is ideal for walks. The cottage itself is very cosy, but be aware the clearance through the doorways downstairs (plus a beam in the living room) is quite low. There is a lovely aga, which keeps the whole place toasty warm. Since we were last here, it appears to have been completely redecorated with some exquisite wallpaper. We had a lovely time and would like to not leave quite such a long gap before we come back.
