Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay at Queen’s Staithe is in the heart of York; it was originally built in the 19th century and used as a timber mill. York has been a key trading port since Roman times and the River Ouse remained tidal until the construction of Naburn Locks in the 18th century. Queen’s Staithe played a prominent role in the commercial development of York and it is still a working quay today. The property will be decorated for those staying during the festive season.

During 2000, Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay was converted into luxury apartments offering all of York’s world-famous sights and activities right on the doorstep.     Ideal location to all the sightseeing places we had planned to visit - museums, river cruise and sightseeing bus to name a few. Close to food shops and places to eat. Apartment had wonderful views of the river and added bonus of having an allocated parking space.
