Guests say

Limestone Lodge offers a peaceful retreat with a hot tub, situated close to attractions and public transport. While some guests enjoyed their stay, highlighting the hot tub and quietness, others noted areas needing improvement, such as cleanliness and maintenance.

Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including dirty cups, a filthy oven, and a general need for a thorough cleaning. The reception of cleanliness is predominantly negative.

The location is appreciated for its proximity to attractions and public transport, but the proximity to a busy road and associated noise is a concern for some guests.

Guests have reported uncomfortable beds and issues with water pressure and temperature. However, the quietness and peacefulness of the location were positive aspects for some.

The lodge's facilities, such as the hot tub, were praised when working properly, but there were several mentions of maintenance issues, missing utensils, and outdated decor.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

    A lovely stay well equipt

Very dated lodge needs lots of TLC to bring it back to its best. No oven trays, had to go out and buy some, grill pan had not been cleaned and had burnt on food so had to clean before using. Unable to use the hot tub on check in night as electric had been switched off by power company which I understand is not their fault but this was not communicated to us. Water pressure in the whole lodge is diabolical and the en suite shower did not warm up at all. Awful smell from the drains which worsened as the week went on.Beds were extremely uncomfortable and VERY hard to sleep on. Sofa in the living room and the hottub have both been changed but no updated images. Had they been updated we would not have booked.A64 is literally 50 yards from the lodge so the noise is constant and when larger vehicles go past the lodge actually shakes from the vibrations. 2 lodges are separate from the main park which is privately owned and it feels like you are stuck out the way and forgotten about. When you pay a considerable amount of money for a stay here it is disappointing to say the least.
