This was our second visit to Craigclunie and hopefully will not be our last. This is a beautiful cottage situated in a perfect location for exploring scenic walks. The large garden is just perfect for our anxious German Shepherd who requires a quiet, safe, enclosed garden before she can relax. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ballater is a lovely village with local amenities within walking distance of the cottage. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and are already planning our next visit. Just a wee gem!!

We enjoyed our stay in Craigclunie very much. The cottage is super central but the “back to front” arrangement makes it feel well secluded. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the garden is beautiful. Morning coffee in the garden room was bliss. The only reason we have given 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because the separate loo and over bath shower weren’t for us (although we were aware when we booked). We would love to return and would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

It was a delight staying at Craigclunie cottage. Central in the town of Ballater, yet very peaceful and relaxing. The private garden is a joy and whilst we visited in mid-April, many of the plants are evergreen and I can imagine an explosion of colour and scent in summertime. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Margaret, our host, is a gem, supplying lots of information and the additional thoughtful personal touches are much appreciated. We arrived home refreshed and relaxed and have no problem recommending Craigclunie.Peter and Fiona
