We had a fantastic stay at the Uppermill Farm.The location is peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by scenic countryside with plenty of great spots within easy walking distance. The local village of Tarves itself is lovely to explore.The annex was clean, homely, with a fully equipped kitchen, and the beds were comfortable which made for a great night's sleep. The highlight of our arrival was easily the welcome kit, without a doubt the best we’ve ever received, and the shortbread was an absolute treat!Even though the annex is set on a working farm, the noise level was surprisingly minimal.To top it all off, Jean and David were welcoming hosts, and their sweet little dog kept popping over for a few friendly strokes!We couldn't have asked for a better getaway and would recommend Uppermill Farm to anyone looking for a cozy, charming escape!

Uppermill farm cottage is a pretty little annex with all the things you need for a get away. Nicely located. My only issue was that the toilet and shower is located on the ground floor and while this might be ok for agile people its an issue for those of us with limited mobility. The advert states that this facility is on the ground floor but I feel it should be made clear in advert that perhaps this property is not suitable for people with mobility issues. A statement emphasising bathroom and toilet on ground floor and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues would be advised.
