Lovely week in the Moy cottage. We found it very clean and comfy. It was well equiped. We all slept well. Fab views across Loch Sween. Oban is always worth a visit, a good hour and 20mons drive but worth it. Lochgilphead has all amenities that you could need and the ride along the canal to get there is lovely and only 30mins away. Good sized co-op petrol stations gift shops etc. Castle Sween is a must and is only just along the road past Moy. Have to walk through caravan site but it's a nice walk. We saw a stag and a doe wandering through the park when we walked back to the car. The Beaver trail is also enjoyable, we were not lucky enough to see them but did see the evidence of the tooth marks in trees they had felled. We did go late morning and apparently early morning or evening is the best time to see them. Sika Deer came down the track to the cottage usually about 8pm, they have beautiful markingsThe wildlife was abundant, just from the cottage on a night from the patio. A good supply of peanuts is needed but you reap the benefits....we saw pine martens, two at the same time on one night. Fox was a regular visitor and also visited one afternoon. We got a glimpse of a badger but it didn't hang around very long. We got a visit from a Nuthatch but it came with lots of Chaffinch so you need to keep and eye out for it. Blue tits, Great tits, coal tits. We also got to see red squirrel but need to be very quiet and still to see them moving around the trees, it came to get Hazelnuts from the tree to the right of the cottage as you look out of the patio doors. Buzzards and my partner thought he had seen a golden eagle. Bats visited at dusk. Seal on the rocks next to the shore on the ride along to the cottage. If you like peace, quiet and love nature then this cottage is perfect. Caroline our host was very kind and helpful. We do hope to be booking again
