From Oban’s bustling harbour, there are daily boat trips to the surrounding islands, including Mull, Staffa and Iona where porpoise, dolphins, whales and basking sharks are often spotted. Local activities include walking, mountain biking, kayaking and skiing. There are plenty of castles, gardens and historic sites to explore or literally on your doorstep there are a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Oban also has a cinema and leisure centre. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
