Cottage is very clean and cosy. The wood burner is lovely when it's wet and cold outside. Bed comfortable.Castle Douglas is very dog friendly.Local countryside and coast are excellent.Thanks to Elaine, John and Dougal the very welcoming dog.

This is the second time. we have stopped at this lovely cottage and for us it is perfectly placed for getting to all the places we love. Its only 30 mins max from anywhere really and so quiet with zero and I mean zero light pollution the stars are like fibre optics on a clear night. Love the place we really do.

An absolute pleasure to stay here. The welcome pack and dog treats showed they went that extra mile to welcome us. I hope to come back next year or sooner and highly recommend this cottage. The owner was very helpful with advice etc. A fantastic weeks stay in such beautiful surroundings.
